Is There A Balance To Relationships?

I had some heart event with Cecilia, but when I looked afterward, Matthew's like for me dropped below neutral. I'm not sure if getting close to specific characters causes some to dislike you or if I accidentally gave him something he hated? I'm trying to marry Matthew, hopefully I didn't blow it. Rock is cute and all, but I don't like his personality. With only 10 days a season, this makes me worry.

you only have the first year to romance someone.

and i believe romancing multiple people can be hard (to see all the cutscenes on one file) because there is a sort of jealousy system in place, i think if you gift loved items to other people on front of other datable people it lowers the other peoples hearts a little.

AND in cutscenes there are dialogue options. there are right and wrong options that will raise or lower the characters love for you or others as well.

maxing all romance options on year 1 isnt neccesary though and its really easy to focus on one person in a year. I had matthew maxed out summer 1.

Wait Fr? Certainly didn't felt that way to me because I get all of the cutscene (except Nami because of Muffy's going steady event), and I managed to max the affection all of the romance option on my first year (not exactly befriending all of them tho).

you have plenty of time trust me. you can gift like 3-4 gifts a day to each villager. Gordy is meant to be as difficult as nami but his affection skyrocketed to max by mid summer lol
