Sheep vs cows
I'm thinking of doing a run where I basically just run a giant sheep farm for the first couple of years. Sheep seem to very quickly start producing gold wool every 5 days, which is 12,000 per season per sheep. If I expand my barn and fill it with sheep, that seems ridiculous. How does that compare with milk production from cows? Should I do a switch at some point?

(did a bit of everything my first time through, and was twitching with wanting to optimise)

Allegedly star cows give more value, but sheep require less effort and provide steady value over time, whereas you’ll need to breed your cows in order to ensure production rates stay high.

So… honestly, sheep seems like the best option, yeah.

I have 4 sheep and it’s a moderate amount to make easy money. I’d still leave a variety of slots for cows to get milk though in order to produce cheese and butter. I just invested in a female Star cow and hope the high quality milk is worth it haha I’ll see.

They are slightly creepy as they cluster around you in the field...
