Question about same sex relationships

Is adoption a thing? I just assumed same sex parents magically produce offspring in this game, since pronouns don’t actually have anything to do with sex.

It's not explained how you received the child, but people will say stuff like "the child looks like your partner" and it's true. Also your child will call you and your partner mommy/daddy and after that the name.

Yes, you can marry the same gender and you can have a child. Child will pop-up in chapter 2 magically, and there is no explanation how this happens, but it looks like your wife/husband.

its never explained how you got the child but either its naturally or surrogacy at least since it inherits most features from your spouse. i think the child inherits aspects of your skin color (Gordy + Pale Farmer = tan baby

I had a child with Rock as male but the child had Brown Eye/Hair. (My character had BlackHair and RedEyes)
So it's most likely adoption.

There's a factor people are missing here. When I married Nami (I play female farmer) at the end of the wedding your farmer briefly chats with the harvest sprites who overhear your conversation with Nami about someday having children. They say they will ask for help to make it happen, and then the baby is there a few years later. In my perspective it was implied that it was made possible by magic through whoever the harvest sprites asked, not necessarily the Harvest Goddess since she's not around yet, but definitely somehow through a magical source that allowed it to happen. The baby shares your spouse's physical characteristics so it's implied it was not adoption. I am guessing it is either a magical pregnancy OR a sort of harvest sprite changeling scenario.

Rock's hair color isn't natural, it's bleached, so your child still takes after him. If your child is a boy, he'll have bleached hair as a teen.

That being said, either magic is involved, or someone in the scenario is trans, because your child's skin color is influenced by you and your partner's skin colors, regardless if you do same gender marriage or not
