Saving / Autosave

Is there anyway to save the game other than its Autosave? I quit the game after being on Summer day 2 and it put me back to Spring day 10 which was an autosave file.. was hoping it saved every time you went to sleep but that doesnt seem to be the case. Anyone know a work around? I use a mouse and keyboard for button binding. (Check the Backspace button but no save option in there either)
