Game Hard locked at 60FPS???

is there a way we can get atleast 120FPS? game feels so slow compared to Pioneers of Olive Town and Friends of Mineral Town.

I notice this too and it feels jank af at times.
It's likely ported from the switch version, but PoOT and FoMT were as well so idk
I can't find any way to boost the frame rate
seems we'll have to wait until a patch, hopefully.

Why boost frame rate if the animation itself were fast and a lot of small details (putting your item away into your bag) were cut off? Plus the game itself almost open-world. I don't know if you guys play a lot of open world games before but getting constant 60fps is a blessing. You get 30-40fps on those kind of games, well at least for my old PC.

There is no reason to need higher than 60 in this poot and fomt run at 60 as well

I literally just opened Pioneers of Olive Town and its got an option to run all the way up to 144FPS or even Uncapped...

reminds me of warcraft 3 reforge..... 60FPS but animation is 30FPS

You boost fps to get a smoother experience so the game itself will not be faster(This more fps = game runs faster) is from an old time of gaming. And yeah that you mostly get 30-40 fps in an open world game is mostly your fault with your old computer as you mentioned(Or even the developers couldnt optimized it right) but its not the norm.

A game like this is likely locked because the physics runs based on FPS to a degree. See: Skyrim and havok problems.

Hey, I came here to say that this game is NOT hard locked to 60fps. Even so it appears to be like this first and even PC Gaming Wiki says this.

But after I tested around a little bit on my 4090 7800X3D PC with it I noticed how god awful stuttery the 60fps mode feels, like unusual stuttery and not smooth 60. I currently have my V-Sync running with Nvidia, so maybe this doesn't play well with it? I don't know. But I didn't even change anything on Nvidia here and only activated V-Sync in the game as well now and BOOM, the RivaTuner bar suddenly went up to 120 and it's the most buttery smooth game you can imagine, just out of nowhere. and it's real 120, not just fixed 60, you can feel it.
I would love to show a video of it but 120hz still don't exist on Youtube so I recorded it in 120hz with my Pixel 6 Pro phone in slow motion mode, which records it in real 120 and slows it down to 30hz, then I uploaded this to Youtube and if you choose 4x speed there, now you can see how it would look like on your 120hz screen.

It's not perfect to show but I promise you, it's real 120hz.
I could provide the raw 120hz recording if you're a Pixel user, you should be capable of playing this in 120 on it.

Fact is, 120fps works and it is beautiful.
