Does anything keep happening? I played the original but never got to the end. I have Stardew Valley, and wondering if its worth playing this too.

I haven't played this remake yet, but in the original, if you did not marry by the end of the first year, you would get a game over. In the original GC (boy version), your character would get old and die, thus ending the game. In the PS2 special edition and the GC (girl version), there was a heaven mode where after you get old and die, you can keep playing. From what I gather, this remake does have that heaven mode.

You can still play the game as normal. There are still events, festivals, character cutscenes, etc.

I've had pets die every year for the last 5 years (They were all old). I'm pretty used to death.
