Eye door puzzle help

I put the eyes in the correct order (I checked using the hints just to be sure) but nothing happens. What am I supposed to do now? Is this a bug?

IIRC, you need to make sure to set the rotating eye in your inventory so it matches the 4th slot on the door.

Same issue. even restarting the game doesn't help.
