Stuck in the suburbs

I've been playing along fine until I hit the suburbs after leaving the house and killing all the soldiers. There is supposed to be a helicopter crash and then I should be able to jump over the fence to get to the mechanical soldier. I can run around and do everything but no helicopter appears. Any ideas? There is still music and I can hear the loudspeakers so it doesn't seem like I should be stuck.

EIther it's a glitch or you're not as far along as you think you are. Is there a hole in the wall on the bottom floor below a sniper nest?

I also stuck, nothing to do... This is very sad in 2025 with a simple patch they could fix it
