Usually horror games with an MP aspect aren't as scary as they could be and the MP aspect in turn also detracts from the story mode. This is because the Deveplopers' attention has to be split on two major components of the game instead of just the one, the one that matters and that is the story. Not shallow MP that everytime turns into deathmatch.
