That's how many games I currently have installed on my PC, and there is no such file anywhere. Maybe there's only one rare game that has a name that you're afraid to reveal?
The problem is with the missing Visual C++ Runtime library. My game started only after I installed all the old Visual C++ Runtime libraries.
For others having problems, I am on Windows 11. When I installed FEAR3 I chose to add the desktop shortcut to run the game also.
I copied the:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamclient64.dll
and pasted that into the folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\F.E.A.R. 3\
I'm not 100% certain what happened but when I double-clicked the F.E.A.R. 3.exe directly, nothing seemed to happen, but when I double-clicked my "F.E.A.R. 3" desktop icon, things started to work, I got the Warner Bro's water tower video and I'm now in the game!
For some reason, it keeps putting the game in a window, but if you press ALT+ENTER it'll full-screen again.
Finally I can maybe complete this series! Cheers :)
