xbox 360 controller stopped working

my xbox controller worked everytime i played my fear 3 but since i connected my new xbox one s controller it hasnt worked since is there any way to fix this?

Same thing is happening to me, Let's hope someone knows what's up...

well, I first plugged my xbone controller then the xb360 one, but i guess it may be caused by the same issue. The thing is it wasn't immediately, it worked for 2 days or so, then no more.

I found the solution

Go to big screen mode on steam and under your game's settings go to controller settings. Choose the gamepad template instead of a custom config.

My X1 wireless controller doesn't work either and Big Picture Mode doesn't help but it does recognize my PS4 wireless controller. Go figure
