Cannot find GCF files
So, recently I was attempting to extract some models from Portal to put in my upcoming Portal 2 map. According to a forum post, I would need to download GCFscape to unpack the models. However, upon searching my computer, I have been unable to find the model files. I haven't found any tutorials, so I went here for help. Am I just not looking hard enough, or is there something else I need to do in order to get the model files?

The GCF file format has been replaced by the VPK file format for packing and shipping game content.

You would find them in portal_pak_dir.vpk in the directory of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Portal\portal" That is where you should find them.
