Install GCFScape first.

Once that is done, open up xxx_pak_dir.vpk of whatever game with GCFScape. Extract whatever folder you want and put them into custom/my_custom_stuff folder inside your ep2 folder. Load up Hammer and it will work.

If you are going to ship a map with these assests, make sure to pack them with a pack editor such as VIDE or pakrat.

When i extract the the .vpk, are you saying i should create a "custom/my_custom_stuff" directory and put all the files there, or just take all of it and dump it into the ep2 folder and replace all the files?

Having all css files in custom folder would be much cleaner. As you wont mess with hl2 ep2 texture (in case some share the same name and directory)
