Source SDK

Skybox is big black void even though i set it to hydro
When i run it, the skybox is a black void that copies my screen every frame, and everything is dark except the lights i put in RED and BLU spawn. HELP!

If you ever have a problem, post your compile log.

Though from your description, it sounds like you have a leak.

You have a bunch of these errors.

"Description:
vbsp is having a hard time figuring out your level, it seems to have found a part of your level that is infinite in size. This is, offcourse, invalid.

Solution:
Look near the coordinates given. It is likely that you either need to func_detail a lot of brushes in that area, or that you have an invalid brush somewhere (Alt-p in hammer to check for them). It may be pretty difficult to hunt down the exact problem though.

I cant func_detail them, they are tools/toolssky brushes and so i cant change anything
except for the one thats the kill plane
nevermind i fixed those errors by making the brushes not extend to the borders, and the level is less dark, but its still not actually bright enough and the sky is still a void.

You still have problems with VBSP failing so VVIS and VRAD also fail.
Run your log file through this checker and fix the issues...
