Perhaps I didn't elaborate enough... I have the font, but it only contains the letters used in the Half-Life 2 and episode titles; they didn't take the time to create the whole alphabet in that font, so I was wondering if anyone had added the rest of the letters in. Probably not, but I figured I would try looking for it before I tried to do it on my own.
With all the letters in the alphabet and they work? And I'm using the Episode 2 AppID.
♥♥♥♥ me then, good luck.
Thanks :P I'll need it
Alright, I'll take a look later.
The font is called Trebuchet MS and it's a default font for most computers if not all
This thread was about the Half-Life 2 title font. This is the specific font made by Valve for the title screens of Half life 2 and its episodes. it is used to get unique characters such as the lambda for the A. Its been over a year since I last looked at it, so I forget what it's called, but it is not a standard font. This thread was me asking if there was a complete version that contains all the letters in the alphabet for creating custom mods that use the same font but include names that have characters/letters are not in the Valve font, which only contains the characters used in Half-Life's title.
If you open up the font with a program that can view it, you can see what letter corresponds with what character and type accordingly. For example, the Half-Life must be all caps to get the lambda symbol. The same goes for the weapon symbols; I'm pretty sure they are part of the font and correspond to a character that would normally be a letter or a symbol like a comma or an apostraphe.
This thread is from 5 years ago...
I managed to change the font of the title expect the title in the "Intro" doesn't change. Like the one you can see first you press New game.
halp.
Honestly I remember running into the same issue but I haven't really done much with the source engine for the past like 3 years but lets see
for the intro... are you modifying the existing intro map or is this a new one
and are you sure its a modifiable text thing and not just an image?
The think is that it works totally fine with the episodic font but man I want the title to look as good as the default title font without some strange symbols in it (Font's called K12HL2).
