Denuvo... Really?

I was looking forward to playing this game, but Denuvo really? I came here looking to see if co op was going to be option only to learn it had Denuvo... I'll keep my eyes on it in case they change their mind on it.


Please get rid of denuvo, your only hurting your brand image...

It's a intrusive DRM that may or may not be spying on you. It's forces a online connection (usually, not always or so I was told, in my experience you always needed one) to play single player games. It bloats the game files and lowers performance, usually in the form of random lag spikes and longer load times. But for people with worse specs, it also lowers framerates. All in a vain attempt to stop piracy. But the thing is, when pirates do crack it. Dev's don't remove it. So pirates get a better product then paying customers, and they're privacy isn't potentially compromised.
EDIT: Forgot to say it may or may not cause bugs depending on mutltiple factors. Sometimes the bug is hardware specific or software specific on the user end.

Damn, another interesting looking game ruined by Denuvo.

I won't touch a game that has that performance destroying rootkit in it, simple as that.

Denuvo also doesn't prevent pirates cracking the game anyway, it only slows them down for maybe a couple weeks at best. Some crack it on the same day of release. And it is us consumers that suffer, not the pirates.

I hope the devs reconsider and remove Denuvo, it only loses them more sales since there's people like me that refuse to buy a game that has the Denuvo malware present.

Explains some of the performance problems people are experiencing ngl.

i myself have had multiple times moments where the game would start lagging my entire computer down to the point i had to manually shut it down with the power button because i couldnt do anything else. i now wonder if it's even the devs' fault, and if it can be fixed before release...

this just isnt true lmao, fifa has been out for awhile now and it still hasnt been cracked

i mean really all you need to prove denuvo doesnt prevent pirates from crackign a game, is a single game that has denuvo and has been cracked, pointing that one game hasn't doesnt mean denuvo works as it should.

FIFA being as high budget as it is i assume has other anti piracy measures on top of denuvo. Pretty sure it's one of gaming's biggest cashcows

Duenvo resets every update a game has so if it gets cracked before hand it needs be recraked again just to get the update, people that cry about duenvo are just upset they cant pirate a game as easily

You're life must be pretty dark if you assume the entire world is out to pirate stuff. The fact that paying customers are upset that they get a inferior version of something that the pirates get for free doesn't seem like a legit complaint to you?

This is insultingly stupid and shows you've never seen most of the very legitimate buyers and consumer activists that have complained about Denuvo. Ironically the Pirates care less about it because it isn't as great a deal for them.

I hear Denuvo also causes significant life-span reduction of SSD's plus high CPU usage.
I pre-purchased TGW:WF before hearing about the DRM but won't be installing till I find out a lot more. Pity it was from Fanatical & not Steam, else I'd go the refund for now.
