How to activate "GENERATOR"?

I was on stage 10, in the desert and there is a generator but when I try to activate it with E, it doesn't happen anyhting. Could it be a bug or do I need something to active it?

There isn't just one generator.

theres 4 generators, one is at the top of the map, one is near the center next to a fence on the right side, one is next to a wall to the left side near the center as well and one is under a ladder on the right side of the map! Hope its of help, i forgot the combination and idk if the combination is the same for every run but you have to activate it in a certain pattern

the combo is top left middle and right. it unlocks a playable character i believe

Just want to say that each generator has a line of dirt next to it, and activating them in order is what you need to do. One line for the first, two lines for the second one, three for the third, and four lines for the fourth one.

Solution for our party was: North, South, South West, East

There are number near each generator - I, II, III, IIII
Order never changes: top, bottom, left, right

The map has changed or something, the 3rd generator just isn't there
