Upping the field of view?
Recently got back into this because of all the possibilities in combat, but the FOV is bugging me a bit.

Changing the value for "default_fov" in the console does work as long as the game is paused, once you unpause it reverts to the default 85. Anyone know the cause?

It appears the FOV in this game cannot be changed. I don't know if there are tools for FOV in source games like there is for Unreal Engine ones.

You can change the game's FOV by enabling sv_cheats and then using the fov console command.
sv_cheats 1 fov 90
You may have to reset your custom FOV each time you use your character's special ability, however.

Just posting this in case anybody else is searching for an answer.

You need to enable sv_cheats, then change the fov, you will also need to change the viewmodel:_fov or else the model won't match the hands. (for whatever reason)

Also if you zoom in with a bow, it will reset to default fov, I fixed this by binding "w" to write all the commands again, just paste them in the console one by one and it should work.

You can just change the numbers as you please, they need to match though.

sv_cheats 1 fov 95 viewmodel_fov 95 bind "w" "+forward;sv_cheats 1;fov 95;viewmodel_fov 95"

EDIT* You need to enable console first to input the commands.

Goto steam, right click on the game and click on "Properties"

Under the tab "General", press launch options and type
-console

Now the console should popup when you open the game.

EDIT 2* you can just enable the console it in-game via advanced settings but if it doesn't work then use the other method.
