Down a ladder?

Hi: I know this is probably a stupid question, but how do you go down a ladder? I'm near the beginging and i went up a ladder to kill an archer and get some loot and I cannot figure out how to climb back down without falling. Ugh, probably obvious but I just cannot figure it out. Thanks.

Approach till he steps on it. Just like in normal life. To be able to play this game well, learn the very subtle controls by trial and error.

approach the ladder aim with crosshair on it and push E to get on the ladder, once your on the ladder make sure to use your mouse (crosshair) to face the direction you want to move to (upwards/downwards) then use the W key.


felt a little awkward to me too. i prefer the way most games handle it by simple using the W (for up) and S (for down) keys but you'll get used to it i guess.
