Ubisoft should answer this good question.
Considering that Ubisoft already basically cut off support for Dark Messiah shortly after ruining the multiplayer balance it's clear they have no interest in another Dark Messiah.
Arkane meanwhile cannot make a Dark Messiah game due to license issues and cannot make a similar game because Bethesda demands that all products be reduced to the most dumbed down casual garbage imaginable (see the abortion that was Dishonored).
!
And the console version is a really gimped port so that didn't help things either. I'm not sure there are fans of DM: Elements...
Dishonored was an abortion to you? Damn. Dishonored AND Prey were both really good Arkane games with depth...if it weren't for Bethesda, Arkane could DEFINITELY pull off a modern Dark Messiah game again.
have never seen AI so bad in a "10/10" game
It's a pretty random RPG World as far as i can tell.
But i know zero of the actual Lore of things.
Might and Magic 4 and 5, and maybe a bit of HoMM, seemed pretty random and generic to me. But they played nice.
Thats also kind of what i liked about it, it didn't take itself so seriously, it was weird and quirky and just "fun".
So i don't think they would really need the M&M License to make a spiritual successor.
Screw the license, just make something in a Fantasy World again, it's fine.
I don't care about the lore or the "story so far". Just make it feel cool.
A game like DM just isn't something they're ever going to make again, sadly. Not without HUGE leadership changes.
grow up
Not like there's a mod here to moderate...
