What is this game like?

I have never played any of the games in this series before, this being my first. Is this game like morrowind/oblivion as it seems to be? or does it play completely different?

the series "might & magic" doesnt have much to do with dark messiah. dark messiah is more action with some rpg elements. the other games were almost fully RPG games where you controlled sevear characters or what not
just watch a gameplay video of dark messiah i guess to see if its your thing

I would say that it is like Oblivion but much more action and not open world.

It's a linear action RPG (with multiple ways to approach situations but not open world), it's more like Dishonored which is also made by Arkane Studios. If you've played and liked Dishonored you'll feel right at home playing Dark Messiah.

Played dishonored, it was okay. I enjoy dark messiah more. Dm feels like it has more replay value.

It's more like Arx Fatalis. A physics based FPS in a Medieval setting.
