Nevermind, it's just a game.
As soon as Arantir was defeated I took the skull and the final cut-scene played. I was given no choices. In that scene, my (the PC's) father was NOT freed. Thus the confusion. After your... comment, cough, I reloaded the last save and was able to free my (the PC's) father.
But it's your choice.
But i wouldn't say it's a well worked out multiple-possibilities-ending... it's just a moral, story-wise ending. I find it the most boring part of the entire game. As soon as i reach it i start the game all over for the action and adventure.
You clearly do not understand the situation I have been attempting to express.
1. There are four possible endings two in which Leanna is dead.
2. When I speak of learning, I do NOT mean in the last 5 - 10 minutes as the player. I mean over the course of 50, 100, 1000 or more years as the PC.
@Crutch
Actually for me the path of evil was a let down. Although the Succubus intriged me as well. The weak demon that I could turn into was easily killed. Did it even have any resistances? Daddy could have swatted me like a fly!
So, story-wise should I elect to rule on my own, whatever the skull was to bring into the scenario is unclear. I certainly didn't feel powerful at all. The city above (stone???) was burning and should have burned to the ground and been abandoned as it was still over-run with zombies and ghouls that are stronger than my PC. All I did was stop the dead from rising and ruling.
each choice could or would lead to a different storyline afterwards.
even though there probably never gonna make a second game or more :(
