Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Single Player

Unable to play game
To preface, I am on Windows 11, have already done the Large Address Aware Patch, have put everything from bin into root folder, have tried compatability settings, am using the recommended launch options for me (-width 1920 -height 1080 -dxlevel 90 -heapsize 2097152 +datacachesize "128" -novid), and the game simply doesn't work.

It does open, but it's stuck on a logo screen where its just the games logo and then with the publishers and licensed tech underneath it. What fix could there possibly be for this since I've felt I've tried everything and I still have no functioning game to show for it.

I'm not sure about -heapsize level. Try using -heapsize 1048576 instead.

Try this for launch parameters in windowed mode:

-dev -w 1920 -h 1080 -windowed

That should prevent it from freezing

attempted that, and that seems to not work either
I'm still stuck on this startup/splash screen: https://imgur.com/a/uyh7axG

I'm confused as to why this is happening because I'm not sure if its just taking a really long time to load things in the background (which shouldn't be happening because this laptop has an SSD) or if its just not loading anything beyond the splash screen at all

While it didn't break anything and led me to the splash screen as normal, but I must ask why a smaller heapsize is preferible

If I remember correctly, I had some issues launching the game with a higher heapsize, but that might be just me.
Did you try verifying game files though? Also you can try using -autoconfig in your launch options, just in case. At last, play around with -dxlevel. Setting it to 81 might cause some graphical issues, but let's see what happens.

And whatever, let's try everything:

Not sure if using -dev or -autoconfig fixed it on the next launch, but I can now load into the game
this is now appearing in the top left, though: https://imgur.com/a/7zZz2DS

Amazing, simply amazing. To remove the console details (or how is it called). Type developer 0 in your console.
