Dark Messiah is a one-of-a-kind melee combat masterpiece. Its what keeps me coming back to it. I love the game and would be thrilled to see more content made for it. I was so excited to see the single player SDK released after all those years. It's awesome to play around with the game files and explore what else it can offer. Obviously, the enthusiasm and shared love of the game from people like you makes all the effort worth it.

People mod good games no matter how old they are. See Jagged Alliance 2, Wizardry 8, Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
Awesome! I agree the cost should be high. but i am so confused on installing it. the mm_root goes in the DMMMSP folder and in the DMMMSP/mm folder too? and do the other folders go in the root folder or inside like this mm\mm_root\cfg\media\SAVE\supertelekinesis\
which would make it subfolders. or
all just go int he mm/mm_root folder? and do i still need a mm_root in my main folder for SP where the new telek folder went? sorry man lol

Well that makes sense, i dont think illl ever stop playing this game. and it is a one of a kind. Ahead of its time when it released too. I wish i could do what you do. the best i can do is edit the config file and add key binds for, lvl skip, adrenaline, skill points, mana cost, run speed and duration, spawn guys, weapons....lol but you! yeah you deserve my money lmao.
So i have 1 more question, this one might be harder. When you turn on Sanctuary its almost blinding becasue of the shield ora color... can this be made more clear so fighting in dark areas isnt as annoying?
There's only one mm_root folder and it goes in the DMMMSP folder. It goes in the same folder that the unlimitededition folder is in.
The other folders -- media, cfg, SAVE -- get copied from the mm folder into mm_root. They shouldn't be nested. If you open mm_root you should see all three folders.
This should be possible. I'll try to make something for this.
Thank you. I'm very appreciative of your support and it has taken me by surprise. Editing configs is 90% of modding Dark Messiah. You can absolutely do it. A tool like GCFScape is all that's needed to get started.
I got it thanx man, yeah this is cool. i was looking at the file you made for it and i see, hugh NPC set to impossible.. lol is it possible to pick up a cyclops?

Also, I've settled on something to improve Sanctuary's visuals. I've put together two comparison gifs here[imgur.com]. Its a fine line between seeing through Sanctuary in the dark and still being able to see Sanctuary in the bright. I've repackaged the mini-mod with the changes here[www.dropbox.com].
Lol yeah i was messing with that too, its fine. the hugh objects are awesome. i found you can grab anything that is or becomes a prop for a set time. like a wall falls you can just grab it and whatever. but only for the time duration until fallen then it goes back to a solid not a prop and deselects it. but its funny.
I looked at the gifs... once again thats awesome man. i can see so SO much better.

So you know i can go on all day with this stuff right? Ok here is one that has to be harder lol. I will gladly pay for this.
Can you make it so i have 2 item hot bars. meaning the normal one and let say i hit TAB it flips it to a second one. allowing me to have a assassin/magic hot bar and a sword/magic hot bar. is this possible? so same keys 1-9 but new bar.
I've added a Swap Inventory key bind under Options > Keyboard. It's very unstable since it was never intended to be accessible by the player. I've found a few cases where the game will outright crash when you swap:
If you want to move an item from one inventory to the other you'll have to drop it, swap your inventory, and then pick the item up again. This means that quest items cannot be swapped once they've been picked up, so you'll have to be mindful of that. Also, because some levels have been changed it might not work in your save games until you reach a new chapter.

You might also try Rayniac's trick described here to add key bindings for specific spells.
I took a look for you and found the wizard_eye.raw file in materials/correction is a 128x256 24-bit RGB graphic for the Dark Vision spell. I changed its hue to green and launched the game: https://i.imgur.com/kcZO9A3.jpg
Edit: I just learned that this is a standard Source engine feature and is described here. You can use the in-game tool to create a colour correction material by typing "colorcorrectionui" into the console. This is my attempt at removing the blue tint: https://i.imgur.com/2toRKAG.jpg

Can this be resolved? It works just fine and yes i see how having the wrong bar out or swapping at the wrong time crashes the game. thats not that bad. but in the middle of battle my armor removing is kinda rough. Like maybe the last 4 slots in the backpack are the 4 slots armor sword shield ring and whatever are in those will auto equip when swapped. can you make it auto double click the slots on swap or something lol
I can't access the player's backpack but the belt can be used. I've updated the mini-mod so the last three slots (7, 8, and 9) are automatically activated when you swap inventories. I chose three slots instead of four because these slots are more valuable than backpack spaces and loadouts without a shield (like a mage or archer) would have a slot that they couldn't put anything in (see below). If you'd still prefer four slots let me know.
The mod is ignorant about the type of items in each slot. It simply tries to use whatever is in them. This means that potions and scrolls will be consumed, books will be read, etc. Also, since items can't be swapped between inventories automatically you'll still need a second ring and armour. (This may be desirable since it makes the extra equipment you come across useful.) Due to the changes you should clear and then reset the Swap Inventory key.

Well if i really can choose then i would say 6 and 7 i only need ring and armor to equip and i use 8 and 9 alot never 6 7. but how do i make the magic icons is there a command for it. so i can add to both bars
wait a minute.... if im using both backpacks.... what happens when i lose my items. does the game make a 3rd backpack or is 1 gonna get dupped and i lose stuff?
