Game doesn't launch
When I try to launch the game it says "Entry point not found" and something about engine.dll I tried to verify the game, tried all the compatibility modes, administrator, reinstalling, restarting the system, updating graphics card, changing windows resolution, some launch settings in steam and some I forgot. I checked the game files and engine.dll is there (I even tried to uninstall the engine.dll file and verified the game again so it installs it again but nothing changed). I got the game running in the task manager a few times but thats it. I can post a screenshot of the error if needed.

Edit:

So this worked for me:

You need to COPY the files in the bin folder to the game's main folder (the folder that the games exe is in).

If it works great if it doesn't:

Find mm.exe in the game's folder, right click, properties, compatibility, compatibility mode, run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3)

This worked for me and hopefully it does for you guys too. Dont forget you need to COPY the files don't just empty the "bin" folder.

Found the same problem for a different game: https://www.gog.com/forum/arcanum_of_steamworks_and_magick_obscura/entry_point_not_found

Apparently it's a ddraw.dll problem but he doesn't go into much detail.

"All I had to do was install as admin and rename the ddraw.dll."

Hope this helps.

Second possible solution: https://steamcommunity.com/app/2100/discussions/0/864974396593219411/?ctp=6

"I have installed the solo campaign of DMMM and it wont start properly on launch. I have to kill the mm.exe then relaunch the game and it works. Once i have ended to play i have a rundll.exe:gameux.dll that runs wild on one CPU core and have to kill it."

Third possible solution:
"Adding -w 1280 -h 720 to the launch options fixed it for me"

I tried running as admin but nothing. I didnt get what the guy meant as "rename the ddraw.dll" so I can't really make it work with my "engine.dll"

Third solution didn't work and the second one could've worked but it doesnt even start the exe in the background rn so I can't try it. It immediately shows the error and just closes the game when I press ok on the error message.

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear that you have been having trouble playing the game.

If this is persisting then I would recommend to complete the steps in our pc troubleshooting guide[www.ubisoft.com] in full to configure your device for the game.

Any trouble, just let us know.

Is there a way to rollback to an older version? I didn't see one with this game but maybe you will.

No unfortunately :(

More than one person said this works:

"Try this in the Startoptions under steam:

-applaunch 2100 -dxlevel 90"
