Easy guide to run this classic under Windows 10/W10
I was trying out some of the guides in the forum but they all didn't seem to work for me. So I tried something a bit direct which worked often before with other real old Steam games.

Just a note in advance, this solution works but it is not perfect. So first the disadvantages you have to live with:

1. The game runs just in full screen and doesn't allow switching to any other program with ALT+TAB as long the game runs. Get with ESC into the menu mode and you can multi task again.

2. No idea why but the game doesn't save the options once you leave the game. You can change them once you're in but you have to redo them again with every new launch.

So here's the simple path...

- It seems that the main problem of the game is with the Steam overlay. So go into your game library and create a shortcut on your desktop and launch the game from there and hit escape until you see the menu screen. I am even able to launch the game without switching to compatibility mode.

- Once in go to options and change first the 'Aspect Ratio' to 16:9 and then the resolution to your preferred setting, in my case 3440x1440 for my wide screen monitor.

- Then hit the advanced button and in the new window set all settings to max.

That's all.
Enjoy the game.

It looks still quite nice despite its age, especially on the high resolution. :happymeat:
Re-doing the options is annoying but so far unavoidable until someone knows a fix for that.

If anyone should know a way how to fix the options setting to a permanent solution please me know here in a replay and I will update this guide. Also let me know if this solution works also in W11 as well.

But at least this simple solution allows one to enjoy this still atmospheric nice classic on a W10 system.
