Won't run on W11

Hey I don't know a ton about the aspects of computer software, so I need your guys' help on this.

I'm trying to run the game on Windows 11 right now and it runs for a second but stops almost instantly. No window pops up, so I don't know what to do .

I've inputted "autoconfig" into the launch options and still nothing happened.

I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me. I've wanted to play this game for a while and it not running is pissing me off.

So, basically there are lots of reasons why the game is not working, but the best you can do is read guides. Anyways, try -novid in launch options, download 4gb patch which solves 99% of problems, try to use Windows xp mode in game properties

download 4gb for game should fix most issues issues

ye thats weird as its running on windows 11 better for me then 10, atleast in the sense that it crashes way less.

It's running for me but I have disabled Nvidia GeForce Experience in-game overlay and I have set GFX setting in the video menu to Medium since I have read somewhere that setting it to High cause problems after loading screens.

All other video settings are maxed and I'm still testing them.

I have not applied any unofficial patch or workarounds to the game.

However I have other issues like:

1. US and French keyboard layout added to Windows by the game installation files.
2. Game desktop shortcut icon blank/missing.
3. Random crashes.
4. Games files need validating now and then because 1 files is going missing for some reasons.

Thanks for providing some of your suggestions that have helped you get it running on Windows 11.

@colinaldavis Let us know if you have tried them and have any luck with them.

@Seagrey Regarding the 1 file when validating files, this isn't anything to worry about and you should see that happen every time you verify files.

Do you guys have the power to add steam achievements? I would would love to try getting them all, doesnt have to be a lot just a few
