GAME CRUSHES

Hi , folk! I really need your help. When I go to the next level in the Spider Temple after a fight with the chief ork. My game crushes. What should I do? Please, write me back ASAP.

try lowering all graphical settings to a minimum

hey man if you get a 4gb patch you wont have to lower graphics. It should fix most of your issues.

Hello Golden Teacher III, the game previously had some official patches released during its lifetime to help improve performance and some in-game bugs.

You can download the games 1.01 and 1.02 patches here, you should only need to download and install the patch that is your preferred language.

Please let us know if this helps with your crashes during this particular part of the game, should you decide to download and install > http://patches.ubi.com/dark_messiah/

Nevermind, I figured it out: I had to access patches.ubi.com, THEN click on "dark messiah" link, which results on the site addressed above. A direct access does not work.

I downloaded the patches but I cannot install them since they give the message "game not found".

Same here, game not found. Also freezes right at the first load screen (after training).

Trying to run on: 12900KF, 32GB DDR5, 2080Ti, M.2 KC3000, Windows 11 (Pro).

Had the same issue, game crashing after traning (first level of the game)
Try this:
-Go to Library
-Right click on game
-Click on properties
-Find Launch options and type this +datacachesize "128"
This seems to be a setting improving stability against unexpected crashes while playing.
On modern systems with 4GB+ RAM and 2GB+ VRAM,
And please put some feedback for new players to see if it fixes the issue for you

As for the error "GAME NOT FOUND" for trying to update game, this is Steam version of the game and its not the same version as DVD version of the game so that's why the update cannot be applied...
