You're right about that, I analyzed the game by its own content. But if we "link" the game with the main Might & Magic universe, then we can say that it's only high fantasy (that is cool too).
Well, if you only view at this game at the scope of its own story then it's definitely dark, sure. But if you look at the whole Might and Magic thing this is just a human city being under siege by another undead/warlock faction.
I also prefer Dark Messiah to Dishonored, but mainly because you're not suppose to go on killing rampage or fence against everyone despite having combat system that's nearly as good. Dark Messiah is still the best first person hack and slash game even in 2021, imo.
You got a point there. If we reduce the events of the game it is certanly just a sage to a city headed by a necromancer. As said before here, I didn't realise that this game is part of the Might & Magic universe. Good thinking.
