i think this thing is invincible, lol im not saving leannah to waste 30 minutes trying to kill a huge spider

i've tried to use a bow, and then i tried to use my staff, sword, and dagger, then i tried to use magic, none of that worked

i looked up youtube videos of people killing the spider and one thing that i noticed is that when they hit the spider, it's bleeding, but when i hit it there is no visible blood, so that might be the first notice that there is something wrong with my game

iirc this could be a bug? try reloading an older savefile if possible and see if it still happens

i already beat the game, but im on a 2nd playthrough, hopefully it wont be a problem

I heard some other people talk about this "bug", and while i'm not certain it really is a bug, if you REALLY can't seem to kill the spider, then use the console to kill it.

Look at the spider with your crosshair. Open the console and use these codes:

sv_cheats 1
ent_fire !picker SetHealth 0

You have to hit it in the abdomen, try with the firesword or fire magic

pretty much, it makes sense logisticly that the spider's weakness would be the abdomen, since spiders breath throgh it, and do all important organ functions in it, the giant spider's head is a carapace if you look at it, so just go under it and murder it.

i once killed that spider in 10 seconds by simply criting it once on the abdomen, thats the secret.

Is there a way to swap spiders with something else? i tried the mod on Nexus but it doesn't work

@Bagel Boi (Biggy) Try creating folder "custom" in Dark Messiah main folder and paste "No spider mod" files in it and then edit "gameinfo.txt" in "mm" folder and add this:

Search Paths
{
             Game                custom                  //   add this line
             Game                mm
             Game                |gameinfo_path|.
}

Tried that repeatedly, no effect.

My Earthfire sword just seems to pass straight through it without dealing damage.

Aim the white "thing" at it's stomach. When it gets damage, it makes special animation for it.

i just get a loading error after the prologue cutscene crashing to desktop
