There is this mod, it adds a new SkillTree and a rebalance of some abilities, a short campaign and and Arena survival mode.
The mod is not polished and has few bugs due to the poor mod support for the game.

There is the unlimited edition mod, you can find it on the Guides section of the game. I don't think there are more

The weapons added in the unlimited edition mod are in the Map Extended mod. The unlimited edition has some new stuff like double inventory if you have both mods installed you need to change the gameinfo.txt and add the two new folders

I played it, it's not that good, you can't mix up abilities, you choose a class at the beginngin of the game and you unlock skills by leveling up, but ca't mix. Also there is only a new prologue map, it's not that much

Hey QWERTY do you know what program they use to make mods ?

The whole game is "remastered" in a sense actually, using a newer version of Source. Along with a lock on system and some small changes/additions with some major visual additions to all the maps. It's far from a perfect port, but it's definitely interesting from a more Dark Messiah standpoint. The class system is the one major poor thing.

I made the Map Extended mod. There is a guide here on steam that helps you to set up the software.
It's called hammer and is the valve world editor for source engine games. I used that and be sure to check this link too

You can enable the Developer Console in advanced options. Allows you to spawn in endless enemies with command; mm_npc_create_*creature name*

Allso, melee gets much better if you use a glitch to faster prepare and swap strike stances- by holding block(m2) at the same time.

I've tried installing the ultimate mod. But for the life of me cannot get it to work. After overwriting files and copying the media folder from mm to mm_root the game shows a white screen and bombs out. I'm on the non-steam version of the game.

For the non steam version you just need to copy the fiels into the folder.
My usggestions is to do as follows:
1.uninstall the game (copy the save game folder if you want to keep the saved games)
2.install the game
3. copy all the content of the unlimited edition in mm folder.

There is a guide on steam, just check it out in the guides sections, the author respond if you post a comment.

The unlimited edition is designed only for steam edition. it works with a gameinfo.txt file where some more gamepaths are added, this way the game load all those new files.
If you have non steam version it should work if you just copy all the files.

The map extended mod works for non steam version if you want to try it, just copy all the files into mm folder after you made a backup.
