Recommended mods/patches?
I would really like to play this & Arx Fatalis because I love what modern Arkane does, but I was wondering if there were any generally recommended steps to make this game run better on modern hardware. I'm also curious if the GOG version is known to run better.

If you buy it on steam it's already patched to the last one. Afaik GOG puts more effort to make old games run better on modenr systems, but i cant tell maybe try to google it. As for eventual problems, i'll suggest you to check these links
