v1.1 of Triple Town is live!
Hey folks, v1.1 of Triple Town just went live! The two most notable things in this update are: 1) new high res art, so the game will look much nicer in full-screen mode, and 2) Steam cloud support, so you can access your saved game from any computer! :-) A few changes under the hood, too.

We're sorry this took so long. Steam cloud turned out to be a much bigger project than we anticipated, requiring a couple months of back-and-forth troubleshooting with Valve to get it working right. Glad to have it finally done though!

If you have any issues, drop us a line at support@spryfox.com!

As always,
Your friendly neighborhood Foxes

Chedd, I need your help.
I copied .dat files to a safe place so that my little brother could play from the beginning and not hurt my progress. And now, after this update, his game saved in the Steam Cloud.
How can I replace the current progress in the Steam Cloud with real progress that in .dat files?

@Millik - replace the current .dat files in the appdata directory with your original .dat files. If Steam Cloud has a problem with it, you then select to sync with harddrive (which will upload your current files to the cloud.)

@Chedd
There are no .dat files in the game folder now. And if I copy old files to that folder they just disappear after I run the game, and the game starts with Cloud progress.
And where I can find this "sync with harddrive" button/checkbox?
Chedd  [developer] Mar 19, 2013 @ 12:45pm
The .dat files will be in a new directory.

For PC it's C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\TripleTown\saves\{Steam3AccountID}\TripleTownData.dat
For Mac:
/Volumes/[computername]/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/TripleTown/saves/{Steam3AccountID}/TripleTownData.dat

One more thing, it's better to turn Steam off when swapping files. And always make backups if you plan on juggling 2 games on 1 account like this.

If you have any problems trying to make this work, feel free to email support@spryfox.com for help.

Is there going to be any possibility of being able to sell the items that are piling up in my inventory in the near future? :(

sounds awesome. any plans to port the game to linux? I'm enjoying the game on g+ and would love to have/play it on steam
Thebirdofhermes Mar 21, 2013 @ 3:34pm
I loaded my game today and it completley reset

@sez72, no plans for now I'm afraid. It seems unlikely that we'll be able to break even on the cost of a Linux port. @Thebirdofhermes - Sounds like something went haywire for you when your game updated to the version that uses the cloud. Email support@spryfox.com and we can try to help you.
