As for the project everyone is afraid of HSL taking legal action. Even if they way they won't they are untrustworthy and their word means nothing. They are holding onto the IP very hard and doing nothing with it at the moment, instead helping on other silly things like the port for Killing Floor 2 etc. because I guess the game and community that literally made them in the first place doesn't matter.
The fear of lawsuit and other censorship actions from the toxic developers who have a history of being hostile to their playerbase is so strong that the people working on the revival project themselves try to stick to the narrative of "HSL isn't the problem" even though they are fixing what HSL broke, so they really don't want public mention of the project. I personally don't care, as the other guy said above the devs don't stop by here because the community yeeted them on their own rears for their bad behavior and they got butt-hurt about it so bad they never came back.
I was there in the beta and Steam release, remember nodes? I was there when the TRUE PC version was killed then deleted and replaced with Parity. I was there when the zombified corpse was finally put out to pasture. And I am there for the PS4 version, too. I know what happened. I saw it LIVE right in front of me.
This is why I push back on these claims that HSL is innocent from even the Revive devs, you all are telling me what I saw and heard with my own ears and eyes isn't so. That has never historically worked in any context anywhere human history. It's either simping or appeasement to avoid legality issues with the BLR Revive project. I'd rather tell the truth.

Here is rule #5 on the Discord:
"At the request of HSL staff, do not mention this projects existence on ANY official media channels. This includes (but is not limited to) the official BLR Discord server, the Reddit page, Steam Community page, and any Wiki articles."
Reason I broke that rule is because too many people are too chicken and panzified IMO over this. If HSL is going to let it live they will let it live, if they are going to try litigation to shut it down they would've done it anyway. Yes this is a message to you panzified idiots trying to dance on eggshells. This hush hush thing is plain stupid and the end result will happen no matter how much you try to appease the idiots at HSL.
What has appeasement gotten us? The game is still shut down with no PC version or sequel on the way or even announced. They can make a port for Killing Floor 2 for another company but cannot make the PC game P2P so we can keep playing? Peak neglect/laziness for this IP.
