PunkBuster won't let me play and i don't cheat Help? :(

Everytime i try to play Blacklight through steam it wont even open then crashes my computer. However, i fixied this but running blacklight exclusive from steam. But now everytime im in a game in blr Punk Buster repetitive;ly kicks me for no reason or refuses to let me join. I have fixed this by deleted and reinstalling it everytime i play blr but it is temporary and needless to say repetitive and annoying. Any suggestions for a permanent fix?

Is Punkbuster updated to the most recent version?
A silly thing to ask, since you've probably already done that, but need to know what you've already done.

I havent downloaded newest version yet cause when i tried it said it was updated yet it told me that the version was out of date

And that is basically what it tells me escept i think Punk Buster A fails not 100% though

I get kicked a lot by PunkBuster for Service Communication errors like "initialization failed" or "heartbeats stopped", how do I fix that?

If you run some type of personal firewall or security software, make sure that you configure it to fully allow our services, especially PnkBstrA.exe. These kicks are most often caused by our PnkBstrA.exe service failing to properly install our PnkBstrB.exe service during gameplay.

Also, several Windows 7 users have reported that the following steps corrected the issue for them:
1) login as an Administrator user

2) open Windows Explorer and browse to c:\windows\system32 (or wherever the windows folder is on your machine) - note: if you run Windows 7 64 bit, you need to browse to c:\windows\syswow64 instead

3) scroll down and find PnkBstrA.exe

4) right-click PnkBstrA.exe and choose Properties

5) click the Compatiblity tab

6) click the button at the bottom of the window that reads "Change settings for all users"

7) click the checkbox for "Run this program as an administrator"

8) click the "Ok" buttons to accept the changes and get back out.

I keep getting kicked off of servers and I see messages about INIT FAILURE or technical errors about pbcl.dll or pbag.dll, or messages about DISTRESS or Update timeout ... what is wrong?

These problems are almost always caused when your PunkBuster can't keep itself updated for some reason. Sometimes they are caused when the server you are trying to play on is running an old version of PunkBuster. If this problem happens only on one or a few PB Servers, then the cause is likely that those servers are outdated; in that case, you should avoid those servers. If this happens to you on every PB server you try to play on, then please click here[www.evenbalance.com] for help on getting your PunkBuster updated.

I'm having the same problem as well, but im running off of Windows 8. is there any difference on where i have to go just to fix this problem?
