Notice regarding Perfect World's site and Arc Client

So for those that don't know, Perfect World jumped on the lanucher bandwagon and created the Arc client.

For anyone that has visited the Blacklight: Retribution previously and tries to access the site directly using the old URL:
http://blacklight.perfectworld.com/

they will be redirected to the Arc games page: http://community.arcgames.com/en/news/blacklight-retribution

If they have not visited the site previously, it should load up the registration page for an account.

To register for a Perfect World account to play the game, all you have to do is click the "Sign in" link on the top right to extend the login box and select "Register Now".

From there, fill in your email address, password, date of birth, etc, and you should recieve a confirmation email upon account creation (give it about 5 minutes).

Alternatively, if you go to Perfect World's home page:

and select register/login on the top right, you'll be redirected to the Arc Games sign-up page:
https://www.arcgames.com/en/sign/up

Remember that the Display Name is the name that appears when you post on the PWE forums. This is not the name you use to login with. Also you do not need to download and install the Arc Client to play Blacklight: Retribution, or any of the other games hosted by Perfect World.

This should not affect new players creating a new account through gamecoach.tv to obtain the Hitman Item Pack.

actually theres a url you type into adblock plus and boom the dumb notification timer is gone, and you can use the site exactly like before. Normally I wouldn't care about this, but since the update I was no longer able to get my daily 200 gp :P (which was fixed 5 hrs later xD )

It seems like every publisher that hosts a lot of games are working on their own launcher. Aeria Games, Perfect World, even Nexon NA has a launcher they've been working on.

While they're useful for those that play games hosted by just that publisher, for people that play a larger number of games across multiple publishers it just turns into another pointless thing to download, especially when it is mandatory to be installed in order to run a game.

I'm looking at you Aeria Games.

This arc launcher is just another pile of crap.Serious since the last user agreement they tried to force me into accepting reading i refused it instantly.Been running the game from folder itself without acr launcher and even blacklight launcher and manual patching it.Some things should be left to companies that know their stuff!!And not like:Oh i can make something without wasting some money lets milk some more from these dumb gamers way of thinking.

i hav made a perfect world account and played with some hours (about 220) - now i want to play the game again but cant log in at arc-games, but at pw. NOW is my Question, am i still able to play BL:R with my old account-information? I dont want to make a new BL:R-Account, simply because iam high-lvled and invested some money in it. I cant test ist because the servers are down and i dont want to DL it with my 4k, if iam NOT able to take my old account. Please help & answer.

You should still be able to use your old account no problem.
I still have success in-game with the old username/password, but with the forward push of the Arc Client new accounts use an email address and password - no username. Same with signing into the Arc Client and website - I just use my email address instead of the username.

So if one doesn't work try the other. If both don't work, try resetting your password.
If it still doesn't work, try making a new account and (if successful) sent a ticket to Perfect World's support so they can get your account fixed.
