Why no achievements?

How are achievements needed to make any game a better game? It just gives the player an incentive to do stuff he wouldnt normally or to play it more, really just makes ANY game better imo...

Achievement are just bothersome. People call it achievement whoring, I just wanna get them outa the way! Also what Pilsu said.

If you don't care about achievements, just disable the steam notification so they don't annoy you at all and let the people who enjoy them have them. Stating that achievements harm immersion is a nonsense.

(Library => right-click on the game => parameters => untick the "overlay Steam" box)

Achievements are already in place on PS3, Steam don't have them only because of laziness.

Usually I like to have Ahievements, but it doesn't bother me on this game. It does strike me as odd that ps3 has trophies though, and nothing here.
