I had two McGuffins - Conductor's Cap (Each Round you may retain 1 unused card.) and Magic Beans (Each time an enemy enters stage 2, choose a card from your fatigue pile to upgrade then move 2 cards from your fatigue pile to the top of your deck.) What happened - Did enough damage to stun the enemy and enter stage two. Also had one card left in my hand. I used the conductor's cap to retain that card. When the screen popped up to show which fatigued cards I could upgrade/move to deck, it then showed the fat...

Had a game just now where I collected exactly 21 items (specifically going for that achievement), but didn't get the 20 item Steam achievement. :(

I keep running into the same problem where I can't continue my game because it won't let me hit submit anymore (it's not greyed out, the button is just gone) It's happening when I enter into Phase 2 when my Shining Trident and Magic Beans are activated....

I finally got my copy of the physical version of Paperback Adventures from Kickstarter recently and it's a ton of fun. 😄 This demo version on Steam is also quite good, but it seems like it's pretty obviously based on an earlier prototype version of the game and not the final release version. It's easy to spot small rule changes and things between the two, such as that in this PC version you can use the ability of any letter of your word but in the physical game you can only use the ability on the letter...

new game, normal, had 1 item and clicking on it did nothing. edit: when I got a second item it worked as expected but the one Machina gets by default (uses energy) still doesn't open when clicking it. also, since you now have so many difficulty settings instead of so many to make it harder why don't you help out us casual players and add a couple at the other end of the scale? Like: Tutorial - Easy - Normal ... or even 2 beginner levels. thanks...
