New Tool??? Quest Question

I just finished the Tools of the Trade quest for Eve. It said that i unlocked a new Tool. It looked like a 3rd Mortar. However, she doesn't sell it, neither does the Tool merchant next to her. So, how was this 'unlocked'??? Where was it unlocked?

You most likely gained a new reputation level that should unlock new tools in the tools vendor.

No. The Quest is called Tools of the Trade. It said that "New Tool Available" However, I already had those tools, so it really didn't unlock anything at all. I already had the reputation to buy those things from doing Contracts.

the quest itself doesn't unlock any special tool. Tools of the trade is just a quest name not related to new tools.

Since the quest neither gives nor requires any particular tools, why call it that? You have to lob a potion at Eve. You get to decide if it is a good one or a bad one. Why not call it Eve's New Look or Hit herwith your best shot?

it's an idiom that in our eyes, can mean the potions you throw at her/her charm (depending on the personal interpretation)
