Failed to Connect to the server. Please try again later.
I have been getting this problem on my computer for days now. I tried reinstalling the game, making a new client registry, deleting the files and re-validating them, even just changing my password. Nothing is working.

The best part, it works fine on my laptop, just not on my PC. How can I get this to work?

firewall on your pc blocking communication with the server? add exception.

cant think of another reason for it not to work ..

Didn't work. I also know that can't be a problem, as I have the same security on both computers. Anyone else want to throw something out, or having a similar problem?

did you tried to restart your Router?
Also, you can't see if it will work now, because the servers are down.

Yeah, already tried that. And once again, it worked fine on my laptop, but not on my PC. PC is directly connected, but even when I pull the plug and use the wireless it fails. Still, how much longer until the servers are back up?

same security on same pc doesn't say anything 1 could block it and other not
what firewall and what virus-scanner do you use?
and are there any other security programs in use?
Kirabetas Nov 16, 2012 @ 12:38pm
The only security program I use is ESET Smart Security

I had to reboot steam to get the game to launch.

Did that 4 times in a row, still nothing.

Entering day 5 with the same message. Should I send an email out to Robot Entertainment at this point?

maybe the problem is your router after all ... i mean look, each modern router does the port forwarding feature by default. maybe after it resolved the port to your laptop it got stack on your laptop and do not letting your pc on that port now? to check this try connect the modem directly to your computer bypassing the router. (assuming you know how to setup the internet connection by using modem only) if you have the modem+router all in one device, try to reset to factory settings and see if it helps. its clearly something either one your pc or your router, because on your laptop, which connected to same router everything works fine(i blindly assume it does) .

I've got this message too. I registered my e-mail and password through Robot Entertainment's site. Tried to log in and get the exact same message. I restarted Steam twice already and still no avail. And I know it's not Steam since I was able to unlock the tutorial achievement fairly easily.

No, resetting the router and connecting it straight from the modem do nothing. Please, does anyone else have anything that could help?

i have the same problem...

I started having this issue today after having no problems playing yesterday when I made an account and started playing. I've looked at my network settings, firewall settings, evil mcafee settings, and to no avail. It makes no sense to suddenly not work especially since nothing has changed.

EDIT: I just noticed servers are down for 12-17 hours for tech upgrades. Doh!
