This game's save point is frustrating

So i travel so far into a forest doing a quest. After a cutscene, a group of mobs attack. When I died, i started all over again in the town. This game dont have a save point or something? Now i have to travel for a hundred mile and discover the map all over again.

The save menu is in the pause menu via ESC key. You can also use F5 to quicksave your game.

oh cool. i thought this game is auto save only because i remember last time i pressed esc, i only saw load game.

Another bad thing about this game is you have to constantly remember to save the game or all progress will be lost if you die. And you have to constantly delete older saved file every once in a while because everytime you save, it creates a new file. The saved folder is packed with saved files.

Its true you have to remember to save, like in the "good old days" but it gives you the freedom to save anywhere. Makes boss fights a lot easier imho.
But it shouldn't turn you off this game because it really is a gem. And the third part is just around the corner XD.

I'm guessing you checked the menu during the tutorial, because if I recall, there is no Save option in the menu during the tutorial.
