So it won't work at all?
http://steamcommunity.com/app/209100/discussions/0/828937545790772394/
Thanks a lot it works fine now or atleast for now!
You have to tell us more information then that...
Does it go through the first time setup before the crash?
Does it open to a black screen and then close?
Does it freeze during the opening movies or at any point?
Have you been able to play it at all before this?
When asking for help, the more you can describe, the easier it is to figure out.
If your game has worked for you before, it might not be Games For Windows Live.
See if this helps, it's another common solution to the game not starting.
Open up 'File Explorer' or 'Windows Explorer', which ever flavor you have.
Next go under this folder:
C:\Users\<YOUR USERNAME>\My Documents\CAPCOM\RERC
Finally, delete the file 'Settings.dat'
Try running your game after that, it won't affect saves.
Using windows 8.1 64 bit amd apu.
here are the steps:
1.) Go to Programs and Features.
2.) Locate and uninstall "Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE" as well as "Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace."
3.) Restart the computer.
4.) Download and install the latest version of the GFWL software from Xbox.com.
4a.) In some cases, you may need to run and log in to the Marketplace software, as well. This only needs to be done once.
5.) Run the game.
Still having issues after updating GFWL?
In rare cases, there may be a conflict in the settings file that the game creates after the new version of GFWL is installed. This only needs to be done if the game fails to launch after removing and reinstalling GFWL. To remove this file:
1.) Completely close Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City and Steam.
2.) Go to My Documents -> CAPCOM -> RERC.
3.) Either delete or rename the "settings.dat" file.
4.) Restart Steam and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.
