I'm cautiously optimistic as I have mixed feelings when it comes to remakes/remasters. All the best to the folks at Fool's Theory though.

Not sure why its needed but OK. Hopefully 'remake' means it will be fully open-world with a modern interface, controls and W3 combat.

I couldn't bring myself to finish the original game because combat was boring and there were too much fetch quests.
I hope it's not just a graphic remaster

Not interested really, I only buy remakes of games I didn't previously own and I loved in the past like Age of Empires, or games that are very different in a good way like Mafia. They better not pull Ubisoft and remove the original Witcher especially because I really love THIS Witcher 1 game a lot.

Yes he is an madman but his vision of the new world with clear principles sounds like good intentions. I just like having different endings and one where you join Jacques de Aldersberg could be the obvious bad or evil one. Currently there is only one ending regarding Jacques. In the later witcher games there are multiple endings regardings characters like Letho, Ciri or Anna Henrietta. I think it would add more replay value if you had more choices available.
