Console Commands

This is probably a silly question but I was wondering is there any console commands for The Witcher? I tried to bring up the command box by pressing "~" but nothing happend? Am I doing something wrong? Or is there just no console commands for this game?

As far as I can tell there are no console commands.

Both of them only has a few mods but no cheats. You'll need wits and alchemy to survive, and don't go out after dark unless you know enough about the game to survive.

lol i don't need cheats, it's not even that hard. Unless you play on hard. I was just wondering if there were any commands for orens... can't be bothered collect money lol.

For orens you can easily use Cheat Engine, worked for me.

In all honesty, I was just hoping there was some sort of way to cheat into getting the moon sword. I didnt know I couldnt go back and kill the first two trophy monster things. At first I thought the game was open world and I could just leave the city. But apperantly you have to do everything in each chapter.

The Genie Wish Mod is AWESOME! But... if you use the Many Items mod, you get that AND many others like the Book of All Knowledge, Cat Vision toggle, the meditate anywhere item, etc.

I finally got fed up with all the backtracking and grinding in this version of the game. I think it must have been much more approachable at one point because descriptions of battles with wraiths, etc. (oh, just use the silver sword with quick attacks and the specter oil, and you'll be fine!) don't work anymore. Since I refuse to grind endlessly to OP my skills, I'm just going there straightaway.

Don't get me wrong, I love most things about this game, but the combat mechanics and general skill curve requirements just peeved me to no end, so there's little point in enduring that aspect of the game any longer.

i wish there was a console for time. For a game that requires you to go for a quest at a specific time,the meditation is bad with only 4 options.

Hey, links to the save editor are on this page. I downloaded it, it is a .jar file . I dropped the unzipped files into the main Witcher enhanced directory and double clicked the .jar file. Worked perfectly from there on a save game I edited. You can edit just about anything you would want to with console commands.

You can actually customize the time you wanna meditate up to. There's a bar on the right, you can toggle it.

Thank you! Didn't know there was a save editor. You just got me 10 Salamander Brooches, since I sold all I had and only had one from the girls' job. If the game would keep the stuff in the ground, I'd be able to get the ones I left on the ground (the ones I sold, ok, but on the ground, I know I left 11 on the cultists' crypt, and they're gone - game "cheats" by not being able to keep everything, which would actually be awsome, I cheat to uncheat the game xD). Cool! Can give them to Leuvaarden now!
