Video Stutter issues
Hey all, I'm having weird video issues on this. By all accounts my computer should destroy it, but it's stuttering during cutscenes, with the odd line going through the screen. I'm running a GTX 680 and Windows 8 with 16g of memory... I tried dropping my settings ( though I obviously shouldn't need to ) and it didn't make much of a difference. Is it just TOO old for my rig?

Try to run the exe in compatible mode, I think win8 it is to imature, for now, at me on win7 64b sp1 work ok...

I'm having similiar issues, with a computer thats more than good enough to play this game. Might just be because cutscenes are rendered differently than the rest of the game.

I also reccomend running in compatibility mode. We're probably using the same nvidia drivers (if you have the latest) so I would suspect windows. I wonder if vsync would help.

Well I have a 7950 on win 7 64 and it plays perfectly for me.

Basically guys, I've played this game so many times on different OS including XP, Vista and W7. Currently I have Windows 8 and I installed the W1 and every time I try to turn on the game, window pops up saying (in my own words) that system is not good enough, where it is ! ! ! Therefore, I have installed the Steam. Ive added few games but when I tried to change the launcher options, they werent there ? I tried to do this on few games like The Sims 3, Assassins Creed and ofcourse Witcher, but I wasnt able to change the settings as they werent there :/ So please help, I really want to complete the game as I have ordered Witcher 2 and as its a sequel I want to remember what happened in the first part :) Cheers for all the help, Pat

having same problems with my nvidea geforce 460 stx. cutscenes are bad and it starts up slow.. combat is okay but i cant play this without fixing the cutscenes

just put the latest beta driver in 326.80

If it's only cutscenes it might be the infamous FOV problem[www.gog.com]. Some people have choppy cutscenes when FOV is on (and turning it off solves it), whereas other people have the same problem when FOV is off. So try toggling it and see if it helps.
