Doing this unfortunately does restrict many of the graphics options in the game. For instance, resolution is limited to roughly 720p, and the textures are always going to be the lowest option. It is however the only way to play the game. Trust me, I spent many hours searching for solutions on the internet, and tried some of my own, like messing around with my graphics card settings and downloading mod textures, but nothing fixed it or let me use higher settings.
As for why this occurs at all, it might be due to the Virtu MVP ability of motherboards messing with the games ability to detect the right card. I'm not positive on this, but many other people experiencing this have confirmed they have compatable motherboards. I also tried messing around with the settings of Virtu MVP, including uninstalling it and disabling my iGPU, but nothing worked. They did release version 2.0 of the software recently which you have to pay for, and I doubt it fixes the problem, but you never know.
Thank-you very much. The graphical limitations don't really matter since I'm not too concerned with graphics but it is unfortunate.
System: AMD A10 APU 6800K with onboard graphics (Radeon 8670D).
в папке \System\
создаём bat-файл, например witcher.bat, в нём пишем строку
witcher -dontForceMinReqs
и сохраняем.
Edit: Nevermind, I had to redo that tweak. It worked pretty nicely on my laptop. i3 Core, 2.13 mhz, 4 gigs of RAM on Win 7. (Though I do put 7 on a diet, none of the pretty effects, etc.)
I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE GAME 'MINIMUM' ON STEAM
