The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Steam version versus the GOG version.
So, the game and its sequel have both gone on sale on both Steam and GOG. I thought it'd be a good idea to get the game, but I'm not sure which version I should get. The GOG version comes with a lot of goodies, though according to the Steam page, the Steam version also has a lot of them (to say nothing of the sequel), so my question is: does the GOG version have extras that the Steam version doesn't?

Put the lists of extras side-by-side. A simple scan will then give you your answer.

I'll let you know as soon as it finishes downloading. Steam does a TERRIBLE job of listing the goodies for games. I bought a limited edition a few months ago and it didn't say ANYTHING on the store page, but inside the files I found a Soundtrack, Wallpapers, Artbook, etc.

Never used GOG, I don't quite trust it for some reason. So I bought it for steam.... hey it finished.

Lets see, I Don't see the comic in the GOG list, and looks like Steam doesn't have the art book, wallpapers, avatars, or calander. Huh. Shame about the artbook, but whatev'.

I'd go for a GoG version (I got a free copy of Witcher 1&2 on GoG for buying Witcher 2 on steam) it works like a charm and it's DRM free, so you can just keep the installation files on your HDD if you want, you also won't need an internet connection to play + free goodies! Apparently steam doesn't have all of them.

No reason not to trust GOG it's owned by CDProjektRed.

I bought this game and many more from GOG, it's a great place :)

But you can buy the Steam version and then use your CD-Key from that game, and redeem it there to have a GOG backup: http://www.gog.com/witcher2/backup
