The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

Nudity and violence.
How much nudity and violence does this game have? Is this game only apropiate for 18 year olds or can someone that's 15 or 16 play too?

In terms of actual nude scenes, there are not many. There is one Dryad that walks around stark naked in one of the middle chapters. In terms of sex scenes, if you look for them there are quite a few, some are even mandatory plot wise, but they're no more graphic than what you'd see in a primetime television series or in historic dramas these days. (Opening suggestions and then a fade to black.)

In terms of violence, no more than any other medieval RPG. Blood, decapitations, etc. The game is dark fantasy, it forces the player to dicern what the lesser evil is and often there is no right choice. The morality is very grey and that will often cause you to second guess yourself about whether you really did do the right thing.

For example: A group of rebel freedom fighter Elves are starving and in need of a re-supply in order to stay alive. The mayor, by order of the King, wants you to put them down instead to prevent more rebellion. Surely the Elves are the good guys, they're being opressed right? Nothing is ever exactly how it seems and you'll need to beware of that.

If I was 16 and still living at home I'd probably play it. It's nothing I hadn't already seen by then, but I probably wouldnt be playing it right in front of my parents to say the least.

I'd go so far to say this is probably one of the best games I've ever played because it made me think about my own morality quite deeply. If you/ your child is intelligent and mature for his/ her age I'd say get it for yourself/ them but if these things offend you I'd say give it a pass at least until you're/ they're a little older.

15 or 16 is easily old enough. The nudity only shows boobs. You saw them as a baby, and for the love of god, don't tell me there's 15 or 16 years old out there that hasn't ever watched porn :D Only people who may find it shocking are american people. In the rest of the world nudity isn't a problem. Anyway, only boobs are shown, nothing else. At the background there's very blurry close up video of Geralt and the lady kissing.

Beware about the second one tho, it has a bit more nudity, so if there's a danger that someome may show up in your room all the sudden, you'd better play it at night.

If it's an aldult asking this, well.. Your kids will find a way to play this and you can't stop it :D So you can pretty much choose between letting them buy it and giving credit to creators, or let them get it otherwise. 15-16 year old kids have seen it all anyway, so nudity isn't a problem here. Besides, I agree with above, one of the best games ever. It's like reading a good book (it's based on one) with the exception that your choises effect the story.
If anything, I would be more concerned about how Geralt manages to "romance" pretty much every women he sees with pickup lines or tossing them some random gift. It's so shallow to the point where it seems hilarious. You'll have male villagers shouting "a Witcher, hide your women," which I couldn't help but burst out laughing the first time hearing it.

The game mechanics incentivizes the player to also pursue these romance scenes since they unlock these romance cards, which are like pin-up girl postcards, which would be nude pictures for the "Enhanced Edition". In some of the romance scenes there might be moans and groans tossed in with the cinematic, but nothing too erotic that you wouldn't see in a R rated movie.

I don't know much about the Witcher outside of this game, so maybe it is trying to keep true to his character being a womanizer. But even so, I can't help but feel how silly it is to just win over a romance target with a single gift, or a couple lines of dialog.

As for the violence, there is dismemberment I believe. For example a critical attack with strong stance can decapitate a humanoid. Dead enemies will decay into a pile of bones over a few seconds if they still have any loot left in them. To me it all seems a bit tame, or maybe I'm just jaded by the extreme visual and literal decadence in certain Japanese horrow games.
Im not going to write a long ass thing like these other guys. The reason why is because it doesn't matter if I think 15/16 is old enough. It depends on the person. If you are 15/16 and think you are old enough then go for it and you may find that it is perfectly fine, or you may find that you are uncomfortable with it. It is all based on personal preference.
Nudity is kept at a min unless you have the directors cut
I'd say it totally depends on the 15- or 16-year-old in question. But judging from the average of people I know, 15/16 should be old enough.

I wouldn't even call the 'sex scenes'... um, well... 'sex scenes'. There are no 'scenes' that depict two characters having sex. They talk about it, you know it's gonna happen - but you don't see them straddling each other or sth like that. It's even tamer than most of the stuff one can see on TV, but hey - sex and violence in video games is of course soooo much worse, cause it's interactive and ♥♥♥♥! Save the children! (Any other Carlin fans here that remember his stance on 'save the children'?)
idk, the forest dryads have brazilians
