This game is getting ridiculous. *spoilers*
Want to kill the Beast? Talk to the Reverend. The Reverend asks you to light the statues. Doesn't work. The Reverend tells you to talk to the witch. You talk to the witch. She can't help you, the boy can. But he can't help you without a potion. The potion is made from flowers. You can pick the flowers or buy them. But be warned, if you buy them the merchants will rip you off. Good luck finding the flowers.

Flowers are right outside The Inn actually.

Prologue and Chapter 1 are considered the worst parts of the game.

I feel alone when I say I really enjoyed the first chapter. Just wait until you get to the Sephirot quest.

Quests? In a role-playing game? My God...

@ Fool's Parsley: You're not alone. Personally, the ending sequence of Chapter 1 was one of the greatest things I've seen in a game.

It feels more realistic to me to have you run around doing all these things to find out that not all of it actually worked. The revrand isn't a man of magic, he is a man of faith and probably doesn't know the full of the beast. The Witch isn't all powerfull otherwise why would they need a Witcher to solve the problem.

I liked both the Prologue and Chapter 1 I haven't seen the whole game yet, was on chapter three or four and then my Harddrive died on me. My most epic battle so far was with the beast on hard without the spectal oil, I almost had him be he was just a hair faster then me on the final strike.

What you're assuming is that an NPC should always have the answers to unanswerable questions merely because it's more convienient for the player. The Reverend tells you to light the candles because he thinks that might work. He was wrong, unsurprisingly because, of course, he's never dealt with anything like the Beast before.

Understand that not everything that an NPC tells you is going to be correct or even useful. If you're expecting that, then it's safe to assume you're not going to enjoy this game much.

The only time it actually bothers me is when you have multiple options and the game railroads you into doing the wrong ones first. The Fool's Parsley one is a prime example; you're told from the start that there are three potential choices to resolve the quest, and they are described to you. Then, rather than letting you choose which to pursue, it makes that decision for you. Normally the game is very open-ended when it comes to questlines, so when it forces you to pick a particular path it sort of jars with the rest of the game.

And all it takes to actually kill the almighty Beast is one lucky AArd and one left-mouse click. Lol

PFFFFT, please. There's quests and then there's sending you in circles to prolongue gameplay. I think what we have here is the ladder. Besides. I'm 7 hours in and still playing. I'm enjoying the game, when I'm not running in circles for no reason.
the game is made like old RPGs a bit, when u get some skills use them in intelligence so u can gather ingredients from herbs and monsters

I'm with Ninjabutter, I only have a problem when we are given are told of options but we can't choose at will (for example the Beauty and the Beast quest of Chapter 3) :squirtheh:

I really do like the game including the prologue and chapter 1...though I do have to admit I do find myself running around a bit too much.

I didn't enjoy Chapter 1, but game is not bad at all.

I´m starting to enjoy the game after the horrible chapter 1, now I almost don´t care about the clone NPC...
