Getting very frustrated.

It is Vizma Condidential. I have various degrees of quests completed and certain characters will not talk to me, I cannot proceed. Let me explain what quests I have and what I have acomplished.

I do not have the quest "Suspect: Thaler" anymore
I do not have the quest "Suspect: Vincent" anymore

I have gotten to the questline for Shani's Party, I have completed the dissection of the corpse quest. It says I have the alcholol in my inventory, and when I try to bring it to Shani the option does not come up to give her the booze.

I have killed Ramsmeat, and the Detective is waiting at the tower for me to lure Kalstein there, however Kalstein will no longer speak to me and will not follow me to the swamp.

I go to the gravedigger and he does not let me in the cemetary it says I need to buy out his debt with Thaler or get the pass to go in from the Guards.

The conversation topics do not come up with either Vincent or Thaler.

I really don't know what I am missing, can anyone help me or have I done the quests in such a way that I cannot proceed in the story? Thanks.

Anyone have any suggestions or should I just cut my losses and move on to Witcher 2.

Mod didn't help, it looks like I may have completed those already. I think the lychpin of me moving forward is getting into the graveyard and I get the quest or update to talk to city guard of Thaler and neither give me conversation choices that lead to getting a permit to get into graveyard.

Maybe there's something in here that might help, it's a longshot but it could help you form a checklist.

Sounds to me like you might have tripped some obscure bug by talking to people out of order or perhaps by killing someone you shouldn't have too early, which is a shame really.

Only real issue I see here is Shani.

You can gain the entrance to Graveyard later in the game. I am unsure if you loose some amount of experience for taking that route, but I did not score a full level from there or aftermatch. Everything there is now should be there later as well.

I am unsure if the option to gain acces to graveyard should even be available, once Raymond is waiting for you at the swamp. Neither Vincent or Thaler are interested, if you have already found the quilty and moved forward. You would gain the permission, if you had managed to prove either one of them 100% not quilty during your investigation.

You don't need to lure Kalkstein in. He knows you are going there. After all, he was the one who hired you to investigate the matter.

Shani can be a bit tricky. If quest is updated properly and you have all desired alcohol bottles in your inventory, then you should be able to proceed. Again, it is not a massive loss if you don't but, it would be preferred option. I brought all 3 different bottles to her in the middle of night and she accepted them.

mod are not needed. it just takes time. i spend an entire day on that quest i look at walkthroughs and wiki pages. but it was worth it.

Dialogue options in Witcher are very complex. There is a chanche - as nosuchname pointed out - that you are still able to complete the Graveyard, before entering to tower. If not, just leave that area for now and move on.

Unless the game is somehow badly bugged, you should be able to finish Shani's quest. I did it after sending Raymond to swamp, so that should not prevent it.

Ok, first of all I would like to thank everyone who is helping me out, it is much appreciated. So I did Shani's party which was a pretty good quest. After that I just cut my loses and headed for swamp because I could still not enter graveyard or get anywhere with Vincent of Thaler.

Found Raymond next to tower but he just talks about getting a book and that we have to beat Kalkstein. I cannot enter the tower and Kalkstein will not talk to me.

Are there any obelisks still visible in your map? Just in case you forgot to add one sephiroth there.

Hey guys, I think I just found a solution to the problem. So I had the same issues, Kalkstein is mad and would constantly tell me to f off, I completed Shani's thing even had sex with her but nothing happened. I was so furious I was very close from reloading a new game when I walked into Vaska's house in the swamps and there was a dialogue option about the mage's tower, she explains the short story of what happened there, and it opened a new quest, that includes talking to Kalkstein :D try it, hopefully it helps you guys
